Israel/Palestine Trip Summer 2015: An Adventure of Learning and UnderstandingHigh school students and student leaders!! This trip is a wonderful opportunity for you to embark on a journey of listening, learning, and experiencing the ancient land that is sacred to all of the Abrahamic traditions. We will travel there together as a group of high school students and adults representing all different faiths, to meet with people from various walks of life in order to gain a deeper, firsthand understanding of the region through the eyes of its residents.

This nine-day, multiple-perspective tour of Israel and the Palestinian Territories will be facilitated by two guides, one Israeli and one Palestinian, and chaperoned by faith leaders from Southern California. Together, we will learn the religious histories of Jerusalem, meet local politicians, artists, journalists and activists, learn about contrasting national narratives, and explore future prospects for justice, security, and peace in the region. Through personal storytelling, relationship-building, and facilitated discussions with conflict resolution professionals, we will access contemporary issues both in Israel and in visits to the Palestinian Territories. We will enjoy home-cooked cuisine with local families, visit colorful bazaars, and hear a diverse array of speakers – Israeli and Palestinian, Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Druze, conservative, moderate and progressive, for a broad spectrum perspective of people’s daily life and history. With increased listening comes increased understanding, respect and appreciation for each other. To learn more about our itinerary and what this trip has in store, click HERE. The trip will be July 31-August 9, 2015, with an individual student cost of $3000. New Vision Partners will assist students with fundraising activities to raise the expenses for this trip, so that it is financially accessible to everyone. The trip cost includes airfare, food, hotel, etc. APPLICATIONS ARE DUE March 1, 2015. To apply to be a part of this incredible learning adventure, click HERE.
